Our philosophy

Cinnamon is considered to be one of the first traded spices in the ancient world. It was considered so valuable during this time it was regarded as a gift fit for monarchs and gods. Ancient Egyptians used cinnamon as part of their embalming rituals while physicians from the middle ages used the spice to help treat various ailments. Its source was kept mysterious in the Mediterranean world for centuries to protect it from becoming a monopoly.
